  • Inscription on metal scroll over the inside of the main entrance to the Joanina Library, or Biblioteca Joanina, a Baroque library built 1717-28 by Gaspar Ferreira, part of the University of Coimbra General Library, in Coimbra, Portugal. The Casa da Livraria was built during the reign of King John V or Joao V, and consists of the Green Room, Red Room and Black Room, with 250,000 books dating from the 16th - 18th centuries. The library is part of the Faculty of Law and the University is housed in the buildings of the Royal Palace of Coimbra.   • Inside Kerak castle looking through an archway, Kerak, Jordan. Kerak is a crusader castle begun in the 1140s under Pagan the Butler, Lord of Transjordan. It was the centre of power for Transjordan and was subsequently ruled by the crusader Renaud de Chatillon, the Ayyubids, Mamluks and Ottomans. Hagia Sophia, The Church of the Holy Wisdom, has been a Byzantine church, an Ottoman mosque and is now a museum. The current building, the third on the site, was commissioned by Emperor Justinian I and is a very fine example of Byzantine architecture.   • Inside the Justice Gate, or Puerta de la Justicia, built 1348 under Sultan Yusuf I, the largest entrance gate to the Alhambra, Granada, Andalusia, Southern Spain, with a horseshoe arch niches around the walls. The Alhambra was begun in the 11th century as a castle, and in the 13th and 14th centuries served as the royal palace of the Nasrid sultans. The chateau was rebuilt as a Gothic palace under Charles VIII and Renaissance and Italianate additions were installed under Francois I and Henri II. The Empress, in the form of a sphinx, is the great goddess, mother, queen of the sky. The artist lived inside the Empress for years during the construction of the garden. Niki de Saint Phalle begun the project in 1979 and it opened in 1998, holding 22 monumental sculptures of the Greater Mysteries of the tarot. The funeral monument was designed by Gian Carlo Maroni after d’Annunzio’s death, in the style of Etruscan-Roman grave sites, with 3 marble circles representing the victories of the Humble, the Sappers and the Heroes. At the centre is the tomb of d’Annunzio surrounded by 10 other heroes of Fiume including Guido Keller, Giuseppe Piffer, Ernesto Cabruna and Gian Carlo Maroni. This is the oldest Roman catholic church in Tahiti.   • Inside the Oculus, the central retail and dining section of the new World Trade Center Transportation Hub, designed by Santiago Calatrava and opened in 2016, Lower Manhattan, New York, New York, USA. The Hub replaces the old train station which was destroyed in the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks.   • Phoenician anthropoid marble sarcophagi, male (c. 450-400 BC) and female (c. 470 BC), Punic period, in the Museo de Cadiz, Cadiz, Andalusia, Southern Spain. The male figure holds a pomegranate  and the female holds an alabastron, a small vial for oil. The sarcophagi were for the ruling classes and were influenced by classical Greek sculptures. Inside the female sarcophagus was a a funerary trousseau of bronze eyelashes, amulets, a ureus, a scarab and bronze nails. Cadiz is one of the oldest cities in Europe, founded by the Phoenicians in 1100 BC, and later became a Carthaginian then a Roman city, and Spain's constitution was signed here in 1812.
