  • Cabaret hall Concert Mayol on the  Rue de l'Echiquier, 10th arrondissement, Paris, France, photograph, 1925. Owned by Felix Mayol, this cafe-concert hall was famous for launching the careers of young artists in plays, musical performances, operettas and latterly stripteases, until its final closure in 1976.   • The Halle Tony-Garnier in Lyon, France. It was a project of the mayor of Lyon Edouard Herriot and designed by the French architect Tony Garnier in 1906, to accommodate a market. In 1914 the building was required by the army, and in 1928 it was inaugurated as a cattle market. The Halle was the first major project of Tony Garnier. The Cite de la Musique is a complex consisting of an amphitheatre, concert hall seating 800–1000, museum of classical instruments, exhibition halls, workshops and archives. The Parc de la Villette sits on the site of Paris' old slaughterhouse district and was designed 1984-87 by Bernard Tschumi and Colin Fournier as one of Francois Mitterand's Grands Projets.
