Living room with 19th century furniture in the Museo Casa de Tostado, built 14th century, one of the oldest houses in Santo Domingo, named after its first owner, Francisco Tostado de la Pena, scribe of the governor, in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. The house was originally a luxurious mansion, and now houses the Museo de la Familia Dominicana del siglo XIX, or Museum of the Dominican Family of the 19th Century.
