Baptismal font, at Derinkuyu, an underground city built on several levels housing 20,000 people plus livestock, originally begun by the Phrygians in the 7th century BC but greatly expanded 5th - 8th century AD in the Byzantine era, near Derinkuyu, Nevsehir, Cappadocia, Turkey. The city held houses, oil presses, stables, storage rooms, a well, chapels and a large religious school room with barrel vaulted ceiling.
