King's Study, used by King Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy, decorated with French velvet upholstery and wall covering from the Modena Ducal Palace, with an Empire style desk, in the Villa La Petraia, a 14th century Villa Medicea at Castello, Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The villa was bought by Cosimo I de Medici in the 16th century and his son Ferdinand carried out remodelling on the building with architect Bernardo Buontalenti, 1531-1608.
