Angled foot mortise joint with marks, pencil and ruler, from the framework for the choir for the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris, replacing the one damaged in the fire of April 2019, in 2023, in the joinery workshop at Ateliers Perrault, in Mauges-sur-Loire, Maine-et-Loire, Pays de la Loire, France. The choir is an identical restoration of the original, made using medieval techniques. The carpentry company was founded in 1760 and specialises in historical restoration. Picture by Manuel Cohen
