Door flanked by Charon figures holding hammers, fresco, 150-125 BC, in the Tomba dei Caronti, at the Monterozzi Etruscan necropolis near Tarquinia, Vitero, Lazio, Italy. The door represents the entrance to the underworld and Charon is its demon guardian.
