Rue de la Peyrolerie, a narrow winding street which contained many boiler making workshops in medieval times, passing under a buttress of the Palais des Papes or Palace of the Popes, a medieval International Gothic palace and fortress, housing the Avignon papacy in the 14th century, in Avignon, Vaucluse, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. The street leads from the Place du Palais to the Rue de la Petite-Saunerie. It was originally worn from the bedrock and then dug and levelled in the 18th century. It is part of the old town UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
