The building was originally built in Gothic style in the 15th century, but was remodelled in 1740 for the 3rd marquis of Dos Aguas, Gines Rabassa de Perellos y Lanuza, 1706-65, by Hipolito Rovira Meri, Ignacio Vergara and Luis Domingo.
