Viking picture stone with panelled scenes (top-bottom) welcome scene with a woman possibly a valkyrie, with drinking horn of mead, horse with helmet spear and shield, warriors fighting, an animal and man holding ring as symbol of trust; ship of death taking him to Valhalla, the dwelling of Odin; Icelandic saga of Gunnar, thrown into a snake pit and left to die, an Icelandic saga of Gunnar, thrown into a snakepit and left to die, farm which was attacked and vanquished with eagle of death, 8th - 9th century, possibly a memorial to a man who has died in battle, in the Gotland Museum, founded 1875 by the Friends of Gotland's Antiquity Society, in Visby, on the island of Gotland, Sweden.
