Cap de Creus lighthouse, built 19th century, with a 20m high tower, at punta de l'Esquena in the Parc Natural del Cap de Creus, Cadaques, Catalonia, Spain. The rocky landscape of the cape inspired many paintings by Salvador Dali, who lived nearby in Portlligat. Cap de Creus is a rocky peninsula near the French border in the northern Costa Brava, with headlands, cliffs and coves, protected as a natural park since 1998. Picture by Manuel Cohen
