Presentation of Christ at the temple, with the Virgin holding the infant Christ, with Joseph, priest Simeon and Anna the prophetess, fresco, on the ceiling of Church 1 at Karabas Church, or Karabas Kilise, a monastery complex with a domed or Kubbeli church (a rare cave church with external dome), built early 10th century, Byzantine, in the Soganli valley, Yesilhisar, Kayseri, Cappadocia, Central Anatolia, Turkey. The frescoes have been repainted over the centuries, added to, damaged and defaced, and stained with soot from candles.
