Column with carved decoration of the goddess Frigg, wife of Odin, in the reception hall of the reconstructed Viking King's Hall, 60m long, 10m high, the largest in Denmark, built 2016-20, at Lejre Land of Legends, or Sagnlandet Lejre, an archaeological open-air museum founded 1964, at Lejre near Roskilde, on the island of Zealand, Denmark. The hall is built in oak with a shingle roof, carved birds and creatures on the gables and beams, and carved decoration of Norse mythological figures on the internal columns, based on an 8th century hall excavated 3km from the site. The site also includes a reconstructed Iron Age village, sacrificial bog, Viking market place, Stone Age campsite, 18th century farmstead and many historical artisan workshops.
