Magi warned in a dream by an angel, and Herod giving the order to his soldiers for the Massacre of the Innocents, Gothic capital, 14th century, in the east gallery of the Cloitre d'Elne, built 12th - 14th centuries, at the Cathedrale Sainte-Eulalie-et-Sainte-Julie d'Elne, an 11th century catalan Romanesque cathedral in Elne, Pyrenees-Orientales, Catalogne du Nord, France. While one soldier listens to Herod, a second is ready with his sword to kill the first firstborn son. The cloister was originally the residence of the cathedral's canons, and features Romanesque and Gothic sculptures and capitals, depicting biblical figures, animals and plants.
