Piazza San Pietro or St Peter's Square, designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in the 17th century, with St Peter's Basilica behind, Vatican City, Rome, Italy. The basilica is a Renaissance church designed by Donato Bramante, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno and Gian Lorenzo Bernini and built 1506-1626.
