Chambre de la Reine or Queen's Bedroom, decorated in 16th century Renaissance style and restored by Felix Duban in 1861-66, on the first floor of the Francois I wing, built early 16th century in Italian Renaissance style, at the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France. This is thought to be the room in which Catherine de Medici died in 1589, and the walls are decorated with her monogram, 2 Cs with an H for Henri II. It has a painted ceiling, tiled floor and 4-poster bed with a green canopy. The chateau has 564 rooms and 75 staircases and is listed as a historic monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
