Fireplace with salamander and ermine, and royal throne, in the Salle du Roi, or King's Hall, used by Francois I for meals and audiences, on the first floor of the Francois I wing, built early 16th century in Italian Renaissance style, at the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France. The hand-painted wallpaper, tiled floor and painted ceiling, were restored by Felix Duban in 1861-66.
