Statue of a classical female figure holding an olive branch (right), sculptural detail from the monumental spiral staircase, 16th century, French School, on the interior South East facade of the Francois I wing, in Renaissance style, at the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France. The staircase is covered in bas-relief sculptures and looks onto the courtyard of the chateau. On the left is a roof detail from the 17th century Gaston d'Orleans wing, designed by Francois Mansart, 1598-1666.
