Solvay coron, a district of brick workers' houses built 1896-1902 by the Belgian Solvay company, in Salin-de-Giraud, Bouches-du-Rhone, France. Pechiney and Solvay needed workers for their salt extraction businesses and housed them in purpose-built workers' villages, with hierarchical accommodation and amenity buildings.
