Megaloceros, extinct large deer known as Irish elk, with humped back and large antlers, in the Galerie de la Mediterranee, in Cosquer Mediterranee, a visitor centre opened June 2022, designed by Stefano Boeri, housing a partial replica of the Grotte Cosquer or Cosquer Cave and its cave paintings, at the Villa Mediterranee, Marseilles, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. The cave itself is inaccessible with its entrance below sea level in the Calanque de la Triperie, near Cape Morgiou. It was used 27-16,000 BC and is decorated with over 200 wall paintings.
