Statue of Andrew Jackson Higgins, 1886-1952, who designed the Higgins boat, of which 1089 were used in D-Day, part of the Higgins Boat Monument, inaugurated 2015, at Utah Beach, Saint-Martin-de-Varreville, Cotentin Peninsula, Manche, Normandy, France. The monument is next to the Utah Beach Museum. Utah Beach in the Dunes of Saint Martin de Vareville, is where on June 6th 1944 the US Army 4th Infantry Division landed as part of the Allied Invasion, or D-Day landings, during the Second World War.
