Portrait of the museum's founder Frederic Mistral, 1830-1914, Provencal poet and Occitan writer, photograph, in a display on the Felibrige, as association founded by Mistral to protect the Occitan language, in the Museon Arlaten - Musee de Provence, in Arles, Provence, France. The museum, founded 1896 by Frederic Mistral, is housed in the Laval-Castellane mansion built 1505-15 and houses ethnological collections from the Arles region.
