Statue of the genius of France, 1877, by Germain Gilbert, above the monumental fireplace, in the Salon d'Honneur, or Hall of Honour, the first floor reception hall, in the Palais de la Bourse, or Stock Exchange Palace, built 1852-60 by Pascal Coste in Second Empire style, on the Canebiere in Marseilles, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. The building houses the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Marseille-Provence and the Musee de la Marine et de l'Economie de Marseille. It is listed as a historic monument. Picture by Manuel Cohen
