Inside the cupola, looking up from the rotunda, with Texas star detail in centre of inner dome, at the Texas State Capitol, containing the Texas Legislature and the Office of the Governor, designed in 1881 by Elijah E Myers and built 1882-88, Austin, Texas, USA. The building is in Italian Neo-Renaissance style, with both Corinthian and Doric details and a large central dome. The State Capitol houses the Senate, Governor's Office, House of Representatives and Supreme Court. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark.
