Salamander, Chateau Royal de Blois, Loir-et-Cher, France

Salamander breathing fire, symbol of Francois I, casting after an original or a model by Felix Duban, created during his restoration project of 1845, in the Francois I wing, built early 16th century in Italian Renaissance style, at the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France.
