Statue of King Francois I, 1494-1547, in armour, by an unknown 19th century sculptor in painted plaster, after an original 18th century bronze bust by Louis Vasse, based on an earlier 16th century bust of Louis XV from Fontainebleau, in the Chateau de Chambord, designed by Domenico da Cortona and built 1519-47 in French Renaissance style under King Francois I, at Chambord, Loir-et-Cher, France.
