Crucifixion in the central apse, prophets Jeremiah (left) and Ezekiel (right), and medallion paintings of saints and bishops in the sanctuary corridor, frescoes, in the New Tokali Church, built out of the eastern wall of the original Tokali Church, or Buckle Church, a rock-cut church built 950-60 AD, Byzantine, in Goreme Open Air Museum, Nevsehir province, Cappadocia, Central Anatolia, Turkey. The crucifixion scene depicts Christ on the cross with 2 angels and the 2 crucified thieves, Longinus and Stephaton, Virgin, St John, myrrh bearers and the temple.
