Casa Serinyana, or Casa Blaua, or the Blue House, a Modernist house built 1913-15 by Salvador Salles i Baro, with facade decorated with blue ceramic and iron, at Riba des Poal in Cadaques, on the Cap de Creus peninsula, Catalonia, Spain. The house was commissioned by the Serinyana family, a local family who, like many Cadaques families, emigrated to Cuba, made a fortune and returned home to build large mansions. Cap de Creus is a rocky peninsula near the French border in the northern Costa Brava, with headlands, cliffs and coves, protected as a natural park since 1998. Picture by Manuel Cohen
