Bust of Charles IX, Salle des Valois, Chateau Royal de Blois, Loir-et-Cher, France

Bust of Charles IX, made in 1563 in plaster, after Germain Pilon, 1525-90, in the Salle des Valois, with collections belonging to the Valois, especially Francois I, on the first floor of the Francois I wing, built early 16th century in Italian Renaissance style, at the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France. The sculpture was acquired in 1926 by the Musee des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Blois. The chateau has 564 rooms and 75 staircases and is listed as a historic monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
