Prayer hall of the Green Mosque or Yesil Cami with the tiled mihrab on the Southern wall and iwan to the East, Bursa, Turkey. The mihrab has a moulded tile frame and its niche is crowned by twelve rows of mocarabe, with a six-ribbed shell on top. The Green Mosque was built under Sultan Mehmed Celebi in 1419-21 by the architect Haci Ivaz Pasha. The painted decorations were by Ali bin Ilyas and Mehmed el Mecnun.
