Tower of the Frankfurter Tor or Frankfurt Gate, designed 1953-56 by Hermann Henselmann, on the junction of Karl Marx Allee and Frankfurter Allee with Warschauer Strasse and the Petersburger Strasse ring road, Friedrichshain, Berlin, Germany. The 2 towers of the Frankfurter Tor resemble cathedrals on the square and are fine examples of Stalinist architecture. Picture by Manuel Cohen
