Tour Pey-Berland, Bordeaux, Aquitaine, France

Rue de Bordeaux and the Tour Pey-Berland, a freestanding belltower built 1440-1500 and named for archbishop Pey Berland, at the Cathedrale Saint-Andre de Bordeaux, or Bordeaux Cathedral, Bordeaux, Aquitaine, France. The tower is listed as a historic monument and the cathedral, consecrated by Pope Urban II in 1096, although the existing Gothic building dates to the 14th and 15th centuries, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route.
