Chariot racing with bigae (2 horse chariots), detail, Roman relief from a funerary monument possibly of a charioteer, in Lugdunum Museum, an archaeology museum housing Celtic, Roman and pre-Roman artefacts, designed by Bernard Zehrfuss and opened 1975, on the Roman site of Lugdunum in Lyon, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. The full relief on this monument depicts chariots and the metae or turning points in the Roman circus.
