Roman amphorae, mainly broken, found by ANTEAS divers from the Association Narbonnaise de Travaux et d’Etudes Archeologiques Subaquatiques at a submerged Roman quay and port near Narbonne, stored in the Horreum, a network of underground tunnels used as storage rooms, Roman, 1st century BC, in Narbonne, Aude, Occitania, France. The tunnels were used to store wine, oil and weapons as well as produce from the market at the Roman town of Narbo Martius in Gallia Narbonensis. Picture by Manuel Cohen
