Mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II, built 21st century BC, seen from the Temple of Hatshepsut, at Deir el-Bahari in the Theban Necropolis, Thebes, Luxor, Egypt. Mentuhotep II was the 6th pharaoh of the 11th dynasty in the Middle Kingdom, and his mortuary temple was built on many levels, approached by a causeway.
