Portrait of Richard de Vere, Earl of Oxford, who seized St Michael's Mount in the 15th century, in the castle on St Michael's Mount, a tidal island in Mount's Bay, Cornwall, England, the site of a 12th century Benedictine monastery and 14th century castle.
