Sala del Trono, Palazzo Reale di Torino, Turin, Italy

Throne, by Pelagio Palagi and Gabriele Capello, under a canopy with red drapes, surrounded by a restored balustrade sculpted 1789 by Francesco Bolgie and placed here in 1838, in the Sala del Trono, or Throne Room, designed by Pelagio Palagi, 1775-1860, in the 19th century, at the Palazzo Reale di Torino, or Royal Palace of Turin, palace of the House of Savoy, built in the 16th century and renovated in baroque style by Filippo Juvarra under Christine Maria of France in the 17th century, in Turin, Piedmont, Italy.
