Biennale lion, Place de la Basoche, Lyon, France

Biennale lion sculpture in the Place de la Basoche, with the Renaissance Maison des Avocats behind, built c. 1516 with 3 arcaded galleries around a courtyard, in the Saint-Jean district of the old town of Lyon, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. The Maison des Avocats consists of the Ostel de la Croys built early 14th century for Andre Berchet and later used as an inn, and the galleried building of 1516. It now houses the Musee du Cinema et de la Miniature. Vieux Lyon or Old Lyon is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
