Casa Termens, a 2 storey house built 1869 and owned by Santiago Mauri Carreras, who owned textile business in Cuba supplying the Spanish army, in Begur on the Costa Brava, Emporda, Catalonia, Spain. There are many of these opulent Indianos mansions in the town, built by local people who emigrated to Cuba to escape poverty, then returned with their newly made fortunes. Picture by Manuel Cohen
