Head of the Tarasque, a mythological creature from the Golden Legend, corbel sculpture in the Romanesque cloister, built 1140-1290, at the Abbaye Saint-Pierre de Montmajour, a fortified Benedictine monastery, built from 10th century, in Arles, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence, France. The abbey complex includes the 11th century Chapelle Saint-Pierre and hermitage, 12th - 13th century cloister, 14th century monastery and tower of abbot Pons de l'Orme, and a 17th century Maurist monastery designed by Pierre II Mignard.
